    Item Description
    This ad is for a snout/nose & Case rebuild bearing set including oil for the Eaton TVS R1900 supercharger including uprated Oil filled nylon Coupler/Isolator. All bearings used are Genuine OE Eaton INA & NSK bearings. Our uprated coupler is designed and made by ourselves to high tolerances and very high quality with a perfect snug fit assembly. Be wary of some aftermarket couplers as we have found some not machined correctly to the point of not being possible to put on to the drive pins. Where you see our name you can be sure of high quality.

    - 1 x Powerhouse Uprated Oil Filled Nylon Coupler/Isolator (See Notes).
    Coupler/Isolator:
    The coupler/Isolator is the part that transmits drive between the snout and the rotors. There are two different types, a sprung type and a solid version both supplied by Eaton. Within our services we are increasingly see the sprung version failing making a clattery idle from the supercharger and physical damage to the snout shaft as the spring rubs. This can be checked by uncoupling the supercharger belt and trying to rotate the pulley. With a brisk rotation each way you should get minimal spring effect, approx 2mm of variance. If the variance is greater and feels softer then the coupler will be worn and need replacing.
    Bearings:
    Snout bearings are one of the most common element to wear out on a supercharger as they are taking the undamped strain of the drive belt. Fortunately with a few workshop tools such as a hydraulic press and if needed a blow lamp they can be replaced with this kit. A major sign that your bearings might need to be replaced is a rattle and rumble from the supercharger at idle. When worse excessive supercharger noise can be heard showing a sign of futher case bearing failure, typically in these superchargers the main drive through bearing to the rotors (included in this sale).
    Supercharger Oil:
    Most motor manufacturers overlook the strain placed on oil by high rotational speeds of superchargers and treat the oil as being filled for life – this is not good practice! Often, by 40 or 50,000 miles and certainly at higher mileages, the oil can come out like old gravy. Of course, that’s usually long past the time that warranties have run out – but by this time the vehicle makers are unconcerned.
    To preserve supercharger life, the oil needs changing and we recommend this is done by no later than 40,000 miles.
